The subject of fertilizers can also be a little controversial, as many gardeners are hesitant to use anything that contains chemicals on their plants, while other gardeners are not concerned by using chemicals in the garden. This is partly why there are so many different fertilizers available to consumers. The main reason, however, is that different plants and different soil types have different nutrient needs.
